The residency program at Abbott Northwestern Hospital prepares residents to practice as pharmacists in health-system pharmacy settings.
Specifically the practice develops the resident’s confidence in providing patient care; develops confidence in practice management; and requires the resident to complete an approved project.

single coverage medical, dental and vision insurance
25 days of paid-time-off for vacation, holiday or sick days

Staffing
52 shifts as a pharmacist (average of 4 shifts per 4 week schedule, 13 schedules)
three holidays are included in the 52 shifts
Requirements
doctor of pharmacy degree
eligibility for Minnesota licensure by September 1
Application Process
enrollment in national matching service
three letters of recommendation, curriculum vitae, college transcript and a letter of intent
on-site interviews to invited applicants in January
interviews conducted in January and February
interview/meetings with the program director, preceptors and staff pharmacist
20-minute presentation
