It is clear that no amount of third-party payment or fee-based income will ever again cover the true cost of delivering extraordinary health care to our patients and their families. For this reason, the goals of the Virginia Piper Cancer Institute become opportunities for donor investment.

Philanthropy at the Virginia Piper Cancer Institute is directed toward community initiatives, new programs, medical education, research and development, high-tech equipment and capital expansion. Gifts and grants are applied toward projects that cannot be funded through general operating revenue so our donors are vital in an extraordinary way.
