In-services for your department or work group on a variety of topics surrounding advanced illness and end of life are available. Education can be presented at the location of your choice. Palliative Care: Best Practice for Advanced Illness Do you find yourself having difficult conversations with patients and family members? Wonder what words to use to describe advanced illness or end of life? Then you will find the answers in, Palliative Care: Best Practice for Advanced Illness. A collection of experts from across Allina Hospitals & Clinics will present this two-day intensive course that will provide foundational knowledge for best practices for palliative care. This course is designed for physicians, physician assistants, nurses, chaplains, social workers, case managers, discharge planners, counselors, preceptors, and patient care leaders. 2007 dates have been set for March 28-29 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital and again November 13-14 at United Hospital.
