The pre-diabetes class is designed for anyone who has been diagnosed by a health care provider with pre-diabetes, impaired fasting glucose, impaired glucose tolerance or metabolic syndrome.
Class objectives
During the pre-diabetes class participants will:
- Learn about the diagnosis of pre-diabetes.
- Create a meal plan with good health, lifestyle and personal goals in mind.
- Make a personal physical activity plan.
- Learn how to reduce fat while keeping flavor in your diet.
- Learn how to interpret a food label.
- Develop a plan for reasonable weight loss.

The $35 cost covers the workbook, glucometer and other class materials. Some insurance plans will reimburse patients for this cost.
